A real person reads these. There is no ticket system, no chatbot and no phone tree.
Do all of us have to pay?
No. One person unlocks a group and everyone in it gets the benefit. The app can add the cost to the group as an ordinary expense so it splits between you — about 67p each for six people — and whoever paid can remove that line if they'd rather absorb it.
Is it really a one-off payment?
Yes. There is no subscription, nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. If you buy the unlimited unlock you never pay us again.
Do my friends need to sign up?
No. They tap your invitation link and they're in — no account, no email address, no password. Only the person buying an unlock needs an account, because a purchase has to belong to someone.
What happens when my group expires?
A free group is deleted 90 days after the last activity — and the clock measures inactivity, not age, so a group you use regularly never expires. You get warnings at 14, 7 and 1 day, and a full copy of the group lands on your phone before anything is removed from our servers. Unlock the group at any point to stop the clock.
Can I get a group back after it's deleted?
Not from us — when we delete it, it's gone. That's the point of the promise. But the copy we sent to your device before deletion is still yours, so keep it if you need the record.
Do you hold my bank details?
Never. If you want to make settling up easier you can save a payment link you already use — Monzo, Revolut, PayPal — and we store that link, not an account number. Your card details go to Apple or Google when you buy an unlock and never come near us.
Someone in my group won't pay up.
We can't help with that one, honestly. Fairdos keeps the record straight so there's no argument about the numbers, but the money itself is between the two of you.
I want my data deleted.
Email us and we'll sort it. See the Privacy Policy for what we hold and how long. Most of it deletes itself anyway.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, so refunds are theirs to process under their policies. Email us anyway — we'd rather help than have you argue with a shop.
